Front end papers : | First, second and third guardleaves in paper. On the recto of the second guardleaf, next to the top right corner, a modern hand wrote in pen: 'français 782' and immediately below in the centre: 'reliure restaurée en 1970'. Fourth and fifth guardleaves in vellum, both with full-page ruling in plummed, 34 lines. On the top margin of f. IVv, an early modern hand wrote in arabic numerals, near both the left and the right corner, '191' and in the centre 'destruction de troie'. Below, in the centre, inside the ruled space, in a darker ink and in bold characters, possibly the same hand wrote: 'Rythme / Destruction de Troye en vieil francois'. A later hand, probably a librarian added a note and a small leaf in paper with a table of correspondences with a greek manuscript ('Cod. Graecobarb.'). |
End papers : | 4 guardleaves in paper, then one guardleaf in vellum. On the recto of the latter, the red circular stamp of the Bibliothèque Royale. On the verso, on the top left margin, an ancient hand wrote something, probably numerals (the writing looks upside down). |

Scribe description: | Elegant and regular hand, very compact: little space left between different words, frequent fusion of the curves, long minims and short ascenders and discenders. The shaft of 'd' is short and almost horizontal, 'g' has a long connecting stroke. |
