Physical description

General description:The Troie section starts f. 20ra.
General illustration:na
General decoration:The Troie-section opens with a gilt champ initial 'D', on a red field with white flourishings. The eye of the letter is filled with blue, also decorated with white flourishings. The style of the decorated letter may point towards a later date in the fourteenth century. The text is otherwise structured by means of rubricated headings, followed by plain initials (height: 2 lines) alternating between red and blue. At the beginning of a clause, majuscule letters have been dotted with yellow ink. Other decorative elements include line-filling devices in red or blue ink and paragraph signs marking text-overflow.
Evidence of readership:na
Foliations description:Modern foliation in arabic numerals in the upper right corner of the recto.
