Scribe description: | Northern textualis with double-compartment 'a' the upper compartment of which is closed (double-lobe or belly 'a'). The ascenders of 'b','h','k','l' are clubbed or forked, round 'd' with short ascender. Tongued 'e' in final position. No use of 'i'-longa. Diacritic on 'i' in all positions. Straight and round 's' in final position. Use of 'v' in initial position and numerals. Diacritic on 'y'. Abbreviations include crossed 'z'-like tironian note, superscript vowels, 'com'- and -'us' abbreviations, nasal bar. Biting of 'or'. Word-separation marked with dash. |

Scribe description: | Northern textualis with double-compartment 'a', box-'a'. Ascenders of 'b' 'l' 'h' forked. The letter 'e' is not tongued. The limb of 'h' descends below the baseline. Use of 'i'-longa in numerals. Round 's' in final position. The vertical stroke of 't' extends above the headstroke which, in final position, ends in a horizontal hairline. Use of 'v' in initial position. Diacritic on 'y'. Abbreviations include crossed tironian note, 'p' with crossed descender, nasal mark, apostrophe. Many examples of biting involving round letters and vowels, e.g.: 'or', 'ba', 'pa', 'be'. |
