General decoration:The text of the 'Troie' opens on f. 2ra with a gold initial against a blue and red ground. Subsequent paragraphs are marked by initials (height: 2 lines), alternating blue and red, with flourishing in the contrasting colour.
Evidence of readership:Marginal drawings, especially of sirens and male figures, e.g. ff. 50, 70. f. 76, in a 15th-c. hand: 'Le livre apartien a Nicollas Ouyn demourant Rouen a la rue Escueve' (Vielliard 1988, 505). f. 135vb, after the explicit to the 'Troie' proper, the arms and motto of Antoine de Marest d'Alge, dated 1595 (Vielliard 1988, 505). f. 2r: 'Monasterii Fiscanensis 136' (Vielliard 1988, 505).
