General decoration:Chapters and paragraphs are marked by plain red initials (height: 6 and 2 lines respectively), the one on f. 85ra inhabited by a face. Stanzas of the lais open with smaller initials (height: 1 line), e.g. f. 64v. Line fillers in red ink.
Evidence of readership:
Foliations description:Two medieval foliation systems in roman numerals visible in the upper and lower margins of recto sides (though often trimmed). One runs i - iiC xlv; the other cxlvi - iiiC iiiiXX xiii. Modern foliation in the upper corner of recto sides (with doubling of f. 241).
