General decoration:The 'Historia Troiana' opens with a red initial (height: 5 lines) with pen-flourishing in blue. Subsequent initials are in a similar style, but chiefly 3 lines in height. The initial on p. 2a is the sole instance of a blue initial with red flourishing. Majuscules are highlighted with red ink.

Scribe description:A small, regular hand, which makes use of single-compartment 'a', both 'c' caudata and 3-shaped 'z', 8-shaped 'g', round 's' in final position (slightly larger than other small letters), 'u' in all positions, and 'y' without a dot. For the 'Prose Tristan' fragment the few abbreviations that are employed are limited to the end of the line. Tironian 'et' lacks a horizontal bar.
