Scribe description: | Northern textualis rotundus with double-compartment 'a' the upper lobe of which is open. In final position, only straight 's'. 'u' in all positions. Uncial 'd' with dropping descender. Marked use of forked ascenders on 'l' . 'h' and 'b'. Descenders curve to the left. the limb of 'd' descends below the baseline and curls to the left. Abbreviations include apostrophe, -us, -con abbreviation, uncrossed as well as crossed tironian note. Peculiar is that the end of each line in the outer margin is marked with a dot in ink (as an alternative for line-holes?). Particulary interesting is the use of the 'st' - ligature. |
