Scribe description: | Southern textualis, broad and round script, with praescissus features (especially for the straight 's' and some instances of 'm'). Two-compartmeny 'a' with closed upper compartment (double-bow 'a'); some instances in which the upper lobe is not closed. The ascender of 'd' is short and almost horizontal. The limb of 'h' and the endstroke of 'z' curving below the baseline may be Northern characteristics. Round 's' in final position. Unusual fusions ('ba', 'da', 'pa'). Abbreviations include 's'-like apostrophe, superscript vowels, 'com'-abbreviation, -'us' abbreviation. short and fat nasal mark, 7-like tironian 'et' crossed with a very fine hairline; 'p' with a bow to the left of its descender; 'p' with crossed descender. |
