Quire structure: | Twelve regular sexternions, followed by a quire of 14 leaves and no doubt another of 14 that has lost its final leaf. The second quire was once in disarray, but the leaves have now been bound in the correct order. |

General decoration: | Chapters open with coloured initials (height: c. 5 lines), alternating red and blue, with minimal decoration. The first two or three words of each chapter are in a large gothic display script. Majuscules are washed yellow. |
Evidence of readership: | At the base of f. 1r: ex-libris of François de Ponnat (17th c.). f. 34v: nota mark beside 'Car no(us) / leur auyons tant meffait que la paix estoit / bonne par deuers no(us) / Et me samble que / grant pouurete de sens est <quy> qui ne / redouble les chouses'. f. 79v: nota mark beside mention of 'la manyere des fe(m)mes'. f. 82r: nota mark beside 'Et mainteffois aduie(n)t / que par vne qui en rit sont díx . qui / en pleurent'. f. 165v: a maniculum points to 'Ycy appert vne partie de lestable courage / des fe(m)mes'. At the base of f. 196v: 'franss??uin?? mathuen...'. |
