| Condition: | Lower quality vellum with holes disturbing the written space (e.g. ff. 43, 44, 49, 93). The manuscript has been affected by damp at the edges, especially the first and last folios. The last folio has been damaged at the outer top corner, causing loss of text. Some stains. |

| General decoration: | Major parts of the narrative (often associated with 'li contes') have been marked with large pen-decorated puzzle initials (height: 8-9 lines) in red and blue with flourishings in the same colours. Further subdivisions are indicated with smaller pen-decorated initials (height: 2 lines), alternating between red and blue with flourishings in the contrasting colour. |
