General illustration: | Historiated initial (height: 10 lines) on f. 2ra, blue against ochre and blue ground, gilt frame. With partial, multi-colour border supporting dragons, a hare and a crane or stork. Preceded by titulus in red ink. On f. 1v, full-page miniature in two registers. The images each portray a knight (in the upper register: Lancelot) accompanying a damsel (in both registers: Guenevere), both are mounted. The miniatures are pen-drawn and in part also coloured with bright red, grey and blue. Other miniatures spanning the width of the page, occasionally placed mid-page, but mostly in the bas-de-page on ff. 2v, 3v, 5r, 6v, 10r, 12v, 14v, 20r, 21v, 23r, 27r, 27v, 29r, 31r, 34r, 36v, 38r, 42r, 43r, 48r, 50r, 51r, 52v, 58r, 59v, 63v, 64v, 66r, 68v, 72r, 75v, 77r, 83r, 84v, 86r, 89r, 91r, 92v, Pastel colours, pink, purple and blue, bright red, orange and green. Scribe description: | Rounded Southern hand with double-compartment 'a', the upper compartment of which is open, 'e' with tongue in final position, 8-like 'g', 'h' with rounded limb, ending on the baseline, 'i' with diacritic, not limited to sequence of minims, round 's' in final position, trailing 's' at the end of the line, 3-like 'z'. Abbreviations include apostrophe, short nasal bar, uncrossed tironian 'et'. Fusion of 'o' and round 'r', 'b' and round 'r', 'd' and round 'r', 'co', 'po'. 'st' ligature.
