| General decoration: | Initials in red ink (height: c. 2 lines), with minor decoration in red and occasionally blue. These sometimes incorporate faces (e.g. f. 21rb), or are elongated to form marginal grotesques in red ink (e.g. f. 16v). The initial that opens the text on f. 1ra is larger. There are guide initials in the margin. |
| Evidence of readership: | Individual words and longer sections are underscored in ink, sometimes accompanied by a rendering in Italian, e.g. f. 34va: 'paura' above 'doute'. There is an ink doodle of a head in the lower margin of f. 46r. Part of f. 47va and the whole of f. 47vb have been crossed out. |
| Foliations description: | Roman numerals in dark brown ink in the upper right corner of recto sides, perhaps of the 15th c. Folio 18 is duplicated and the second instance has been corrected to f. 18 bis. |
