Physical description

No. of illustrations:45
General illustration:Typical drawings of the "Tyrrenian group" (cf. Cigni 2003 and 2005, etc.), listed in Lathuillère 1966, 80-81. Instructions for the illustrator, often cut by the trimming of the volume (e.g. f. 42v, 53r).
General decoration:
Evidence of readership:At f. 50vb the description of Guiron's shield ("miparti de vert et de blanc") was scraped off and corrected by a later hand in "daur a una rosa dor" (coherently with the illustration). A 16th c. hand, almost certainly Fauchet's, hilighted some words and potions of the text in pen, sometimes transcribed the in the margin and sometime marked the margins with crosses and curvy lines. At f. 46v, it is possible to read a note with a reference to Jeahn Apichier, Benoud [?] de Malimires, Jehan Gargnié. The first, Jeahn can be identified with a functionary working at Riom (Puy-de-Dôme, Auvergne), during the 1540s (information provided by Claudio Lagomarsini).
