| General illustration: | This manuscript is a direct copy of British Library Royal 20 D 1 and reproduces the overwhelming majority of its miniatures, including the half-page and full-page illustrations. There are, however, some differences; see Jung 1996, 554-5 for details. Where Royal 20 D 1 often has illustrations which illustrate several scenes, this manuscript selects just one to reprise. According to Jung, there are different miniatures on f. 121v, 125 v, 139r, 144v, 152v. These supplementary miniatures are all in Prose 5, the episode concerning the return to Greece and in the Landomata section. |
| General decoration: | There is extensive marginal decoration on f. 1r, a three-quarter page illustration. Otherwise miniatures have only sparse border decoration, with a few exceptions (e.g. 102r, where there is an extensive foliate border extending from an historiated initial through the central column). There are historiated initials throughout. |
