Condition:Mediocre parchment, often dark in appearance, with several holes and sewn tears (including within the text block). The text is at times illegible due to humidity damage and rubbing of the ink.

General illustration:
General decoration:On f. 1ra, a large (height: c.10 lines), damaged painted initial on a gold ground with foliate in-fill. Major textual divisions, including start of the Prose Tristan fragment, marked by puzzle initials (height: 6 lines) in red and blue. Chapters marked by two-line plain initials, (predominantly) alternating red and blue (guide letters generally visible).
Evidence of readership:On f. 10ra, a maniculum beside 'Qar de si aut arbre ne proies uos pas le / fruit coil lir.' Most of f. 42vb has been marked 'vacat'.
Foliations description:Arabic numerals, entered in ink by a modern hand, in the upper right corner of recto sides.
