Notes:	Based on the writing. Wrtitten below top line. The use of ampersand instead of the more modern 'et' ligature suggests an early date, possibly in the second quarter of the 13th c. The abundant use of round 's' would place the writing slightly later, possibly c. 1250.

Scribe description:	Compact, round textualis, in a hand which is contemporary to or possibly slightly earlier than the hand in the second part of the MS (ff. 8 to 1040). Two-compartment 'a' the upper compartment of which is open, uncial 'd', 'e' without tongue, 8-like 'g'and 'Rücken'-'g' with small lower lobe, , limb of 'h' descends below the baseline, diacritic on 'i' in minim group, 'n' and 'm' with rounded feet, straight 's' and round 's' in final position, 3-like 'z'. Abbreviations include 'com' and 'us' abbreviations, superscript vowels ('i', and more distinctively 'e' and also 'o'), apostroph, nasal bar, 'st'-ligature, 'p' with crossed descender, no use of tironian 'et', but the more archaic ampersand. Fusion of 'o' and round 'r', 'h' and round 'r'. Punctus.

Scribe description:	Rounded textualis, two-compartment 'a' with open upper compartment, round 'b' and 'h' , half-uncial 'd' and uncial 'd' with short and nearly horizontal ascender, 'e' without tongue, 8-like 'g', no diacritic on 'i', straight 's' in final position, trailing 's' at the end of the line, 3-like 'z'. Abbreviations include uncrossed tironian 'et', 'p' with crossed descender, 'com' abbreviation, short nasal bar, superscript vowels ('i', 'a'), apostrophe. Fusion of 'do', 'de', uncial 'd' and round 'r', 'ar'. 'st' ligature. Punctus. Word-separation unmarked.
