Scribe description: | Very regular Northern textualis (rotundus) with two-compartment box-'a'; exclusive use of uncial 'd'; 8-shaped 'g'; 'i' marked with diacritic hairline, sometimes shaped as a flourish; exclusive use of round 's' in final position; round 'r' after uncial 'd', 'o' and 'p'; 3-shaped 'z' 9 for -'us' abbreviation; horizontal stroke for 'que' and a combination with nasal consonant; superscript letters; crossed Tironian -'et', 'p' with crossed descender (often just a horizontal stroke at the end of the descender 'st'-ligature punctus and punctus elevatus. Peculiar is the use of 3 dots in vertical position (as a question mark?) |
