Front end papers : | Three guardleaves at the front of the MS. Two paper, one vellum. The vellum flyleaf is a palimpsest. On the recto of the vellum guardleaf, a 14th-or 15th c. cursive hand has noted two Latin distichs discussing the importance of preserving a good reputation: "Omnia si perdas famam seruare memento / Qua semel amissa postea nullus eris / Quem semel horrendis maculis infamia nigrat / Ad bene tergendum nulla laborat aqua". |
