| Evidence of readership: | Coat of arms and motto (15th c.) on the recto side of the first added folio. Bibale attributes the coat of arms to the De Thomassin family from Lyon. During the 14th and 16th c., influential members of the family were aldermen in the city council. That the MS was in Lyon in the 15th c., would line up with linguistic features pointing towards the region and the recognized by Meyer (cf. Jonas), who also argued that the scribe used a Lyonnais miscellany of legends (possibly BnF f.fr. 818) as a source. |
