Physical description

General illustration:Numerous miniatures with Italian traits e.g. The arrangement of the miniatures in small rectangular panels individually located in the margins of the pages, the occasional representation in the backgrounds of V-shaped (Ghibelline) battlements, architectural characteristics (tower with double-arched opening supported by a square colonnette in the middle). Byzantine traits may point towards Venice (e.g. the frequent use of both pointed and bulbous domes, complex and curved domes surmounting towers; marble medallion-like plaques to the fronts of houses). General decoration:Red and blue stanza initials with very simple line extensions (Armstrong 1937, xi).
