Material
Material: | Material object (4) |
Watermark: | na |
Condition: | Originally good quality parchment without tears and holes. The folios have been heavily worn. The outer column of f. 1ra has become illegible, this side of the folio is also heavily stained. Additionally, a miniature appearing at the bottom of f. 1rb has been excised. Approximately 5 lines have been cut from the bottom of f. 1 and 3 from the bottom of f. 2 (Van Hoecke 1987, 258). In general the text has faded but most of it is still legible. |
Structure
Collation: | na |
Quire structure: | These folios probably formed one bifolium which has been cut in half, either to serve as some kind of cover for materials pertaining to 1655-1658 (cf. note in the outer margin of f. 1r) or in order to be added to the collection of fragments. One bifolium is missing between f. 1vc and f. 2ra (Van Hoecke 1987, 258). |

Physical description
General illustration: | The only illustration at the bottom of f. 1rb has been excised. It was preceded by a rubricated caption 'comme [...] / uert dun blanc drap iouste a / lancelot son pere deuant un / [...]mage et parolle [le]rmite / [...] couuert par mi. |
General decoration: | The text is structured by means of a miniature (height uncertain) preceded by a rubricated caption. It is probable, but not certain, that the miniature was followed by a large initial. The text is further subdivided by blue and red initials decorated with flourishings in the contrasting colour. |
